    Coil part number

    I have a 2015 200 pro xs #2B116012
On marine engine .com I am seeing 2 different part numbers for coils:
    300-8M0077471
08M0077473 I went to Mercury’s part list and saw this is the correct part # to use. But I’m just curious what the difference between the 2 is?

Using your engine serial number, Mercury's online parts catalog shows coil p/n is 883778A02.

I am seeing on the marineengine site that part number you listed is unavailable and replaced by 08M007473. I’m having a hard time getting the Mercury parts catalog to load.
This thread helped explain the coil part numbers for me:

WHY are we looking up parts there? Check out Rhonda's post, pinned at the top of the Forum, use your engine serial number, and when you put it into the CART, it automatically supersedes to the latest part number.

If you do that, you'll end up with 8M0077473 (the correct part number) in your shopping cart.

EXACT same info as provided in your other post.
