Make a wacky rig tool for $1.00

I bought a 1/2 inch hollow fid or fids at the hardware store for .89 and put a screw in the end that you can stretch the O-rings over the head. This pic is a fid in full length of 6 inches or so. I cut off almost 3 inches and works real good.

Just thought I would share this...

It's near the rope area. It's made to put loops in ropes I guess. I never heard of them either until I found them. You learn something new everyday they say.

A rubber o ring is one of the best methods of rigging the wacky senko. This keeps the bait from tearing and makes them last 2-3 times longer saving you money. It's almost impossible to get a small o ring on the middle of the senko just by threading one on because you want it to fit pretty tight. So sticking the senko up inside this fid and rolling the next o ring off the end will snap it right where you want it. Then you just stick the hook under the o ring. Works like a charm.

I don't remember the size right now. I was buying them at the home centers and paying way too much.... I doubt you'll find a better deal than this. I have some comming from boomer and if I like the size, I'm getting a 1000 from him

Re: Make a wacky rig tool for $1.00 (21XDC)

Ok-- i've got to ask--- i fish a wacky rig and have always hooked the worm through the center of the worm with the hook--- now is this o-ring supposed to fit over the worm in the middle of the body and then take the hook and go under the o-ring??-- seems to me like this would save your worms from gettin tore up.-- is this the right way to do it and does it save your worms? What size o-rings do i get for zoom trick worms and senkos?---i know i could get "wacked" for what may seem to be a dumb question but i'll take my chances-- maybe somebody could post a pic for me.

Its never a dumb question. Yes you put the o-ring in the middle of the body and put the hook under the o-ring.

thanks for that-- i thought so-- just wasn't sure-- seems like a good way to save some worms and possibly get a little more action out of the bait-- i'll certainly try it out.
