Help with Triton TR210 Setup
I’m working on setup to get a little speed out of my boat and hoping to get some feedback on next steps.
I have a 2007 tr210 with a 2009 Mercury Pro XS 250 (gear ratio is 1.75:1) and currently have a Fury 25p prop.
It has an 8” hydraulic Jack plate and I moved the motor up so that it’s lowest setting gives me a 5” PTP instead of 7.25” (I’ve read that ideal PTP is closer to 3” and have market the jackplate for this).
At WOT and PTP at 4” I’m seeing 25psi for water pressure and I’ve gotten up to 64.9 mph at 5900 rpm a handful of times since moving the motor up last weekend with 1/2 tank of gas and full load out of gear but no passenger. Adding a passenger, setting PTP to 3” and running in rough weather yesterday I topped out at 61mph.
It just finally started to feel like it would get up enough to walk a little at WOT but it’s very subtle.
I don't have any background on the prop to know if it’s been worked before.
I’d appreciate any feedback on what I might be missing or what to try next. I’m inclined to start looking at props or call someone that’s an experts on prop setups for these things but after reading tons of posts here it feels like getting feedback from others here’s a better next step rather than throwing money at it first.
