Carolina "JIG" Rig? Anyone use it??

With hot summer here in Missouri, I've been using Carolina rig more than ever
    and with some good results.
Read about replacing the standard weight on a Carolina rig, with a Jig.
Makes sense with 2 baits on one rig!! Next time at lake I'm
    gonna try it!!!

    Anybody here ever tried it???

I would think a big 1oz football jig would work well!

Around her ethey call it the Missouri Rig. They use special jigs with line ties on each end and a hook/brushguard sitting at a 45 degree angle toward the leader/primary bait.

I use it a lot with the dropshot rig, but haven't tried it with the C-rig. Of course I don't throw a C-rig very often either

Never thought of it Don! It would work with a dropshot as well!
Do you catch more on it to make it worth the trouble??

I have only caught a couple of fish on the jig. Problem I have found was when I was using a circle hook, and not sure whether to set the hook or not when I get a bite

BPS used to carry the Missouri Rig. Was in their catalog for several years. Some guys that fish Ky Lake use this, claim the catch is 50/50 some days.
