I have a question about getting out of lilly pad hook ups easily. In the back of every pad where the leaf meets the stem, there is a V. It seems to be a perfect place for my worm/frog/buzz/anything fished weedless to get caught in.
Does anyone have a tip on how to easily get it out. For the most part a nice flip of the rod tip gets the lure out, and sometimes it takes a little tug, but that normally rustles up the pads and the water around it and for all I think ruins the area I was casting to. On multiple occations, my weedless hooked worm, or scum frog hooks the pad when trying to pull it out, and if any of you are fishing behind me could probably go deep in the pads with a canoe and get some nice lures i left behind.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, and Hook em in the mouth!!
