I like the Retriever Lures Barker Buzzbait 3/8oz Gold Shad. I Like the fact that the body of the buzzbait sits below the water line on the retrieve.

The one in the picture below is the white and hard to see, but it was the biggest pic that I could find right now.

I haven't used any, I can see in some situations where it would help.

I use the doubles sometimes. Like everything else, some days they want it and some days they want something with a smaller profile. My favorite buzzbait of all is the original old Lunker Lure's. I've caught a lot of big fish on those. Last year I bought a couple of the Megabass buzzbaits and I caught a lot of fish on those this past fall. Have to try them through the spring and summer to be fully convinced on them, but so far I like them a lot.

I've got some well worn lunker lures in 1/2 oz that can't be beat.

Several good ones out there...Cavitron, Yamamoto, Boogerman, Retriever etc....

My favorite though is still the original 1/2 oz Lunker Lure white with a white or silver blade. If the water gets really stained then I will use a black or Chartreuse with gold blade

    Re: Buzzbait (ripnb8ts)

I've settled on the Cavitron and Panther Martin Weed King, buying no others. I've altered all my old Strike King, Booyah, & other brands by drilling holes in the blades to work like the Cavitron, making extra bubbles and changing the noise from every other buzzbait hitting the water. The PMWK is GREAT for topped out vegetation, looks just like a real shad busting tail to get away.

My favorite is the Leverage twin blade buzzbait. Can't remember the name of the color but it's gold.

I like Humdinger black on black. I don't know if their sold all over the US. If all else fails use the Lunker Lure. I like the white with copper blade.
