My 2 daughters are in the ICU with my ex-wife who suffered another heart attack 2 days ago. I requested prayers after the first one Thanksgiving day. I told my youngest I would ask for prayers on her behalf. They are very frightened at this point. Her mom is 63 and we have remained good friends after our divorce in 2002. Presently she is sedated and intubated while they try to get fluid from her lunges using diuretic meds. She was given 3 stints after the Thanksgiving heart attack and one clogged causing the recent one. Her kidneys are also damaged from the initial one and the build up that lead to it which is slowing the fluid removal in her lunges. Before being sedated she had shown signs of improvement. Edit: we spoke to my youngest. They found a bleed. Not sure exactly where yet till they decide if shes stable enough to do endoscopy. May be from the thinners. My youngest who lives with her mom is reaching her breaking point. This has been a tough ride for her starting Thanksgiving. She is in the areas best heart facility so we are all trying to stay positive. This was her biggest fear in life to be sedated and have something occur. Thanks again.
Edit 4/2: Spoke with my daughter who was at her bedside. She has regained more kidney function. The bleed is considered benign and has stopped. My brother in law and his wife showed up. This guy is a type A hardass construction company owner. Seeing her intubated and sedated brought him to tears. We will take all the positive news we can. No negatives for today as of noon time. Thanks again for the prayers and support. My daughters thank you also.
