Active Target on shallow water. Performance ?

What’s everyone’s opinion. I fish mostly Mississippi River backwaters 8’ or less. Thinking about adding Active Target but not to sure how it will perform at shallow depths. Was thinking scout mode might be of some use for locating fish, forward view not to sure. What’s your thoughts. Thanks

The AT2 Dual Scout Wide was designed for shallow water. I have been on a boat with this a couple of times and we never leave 5ft of water and have a very larger view. Iti covers 80ft wide with no issues. That does require a HDS Pro, currently waiting for my 16 pro to show up.

Forgot to add. Will be using a HDS 12 carbon.

I use forward mode in water shallower than 8 feet all the time. I click the transducer up so it faces directly forward, as opposed to a slightly downward tilt. This gets me a little better picture in shallow water.

I've caught bass in less than 3' with grass on a sub 1' crankbait and senko using forward mode. Once you get used to using it you'll be surprised at how useful it can be in many different scenarios.

Hey I am still new to this AT, so do you mean you have it up vertical, like all the way up? I fish in 10' or less 100% of the time so I am looking for ways to improve my picture. Thanks
