Question 96 Mariner 225 EFI Low Oil Alarm

1996 Mariner Magnum 3.0 225 EFI Serial# OG350795. Shortly after leaving the dock today, started getting the alarm consisting of 4 beeps every 4 minutes. Quick google search revealed this is a low oil level on the engine mounted tank. Put it back on the trailer. Tank in the boat was 75% full, as I had just added some oil 2 days ago. Engine mounted tank was about 7/8 full. Not sure how full its supposed to be. It wasn't all the way to the fill cap, maybe 2-3 inches below. Also of note, there was a puddle of oil in the bottom of the cowling that I notice when it started dripping out the front of the cowling just slightly when I trimmed the motor up. Is this something that I might be able to fix myself? Seems like a sensor since the oil level seems pretty full. I just took a week off work to go fishing with my son the first week of April and Im hoping I don't have to cancel. Getting into a mechanic in the area I live in could take quite a while. Any ideas or thoughts on what might be the issue would be greatly appreciated.

engine tank must be 100% full into filler neck , leak must be found risk of powerhead failure , bypassing sensor is possible in a pinch/emergency.

Would this be a situation where I should consider deleting the oil injection? I know for some EFI’s that is recommended and some it’s not. If deleting would improve reliability and decrease the chances of a major failure, this might be the time to do that. If not, I’ll try to hunt down the leak and figure out why the tank isn’t filling all the way. Are there any known failure points where leak’s typically occur on this system?

look at brass tee connection as well as all hoses , DO NOT remove that oil injection , fix it

Really appreciate the advise. Will take for action. Got to take a look today and noticed that the tube running into the engine mounted take was wet with oil from the top of the tank all the way down to the brass t and was dripping off the T. Also found that the gasket inside the cap on the engine mounted tank was pretty chewed up. So far I have ordered a new cap and gasket for the engine mounted tank, new o-rings for both caps on the remote tank, new tube and screen for the remote tank. Probably going to also order a new T fitting along with the tube that goes from the T fitting up to the engine mounted tank. Ill get that on there and run it on muffs and see if it fills like its supposed to. I tried the link for bleeding, but I must have had an old one, as it didn't work. Am I right that to bleed the system I just need to run on the muffs with the cap off until the engine mounted tank fills all the way up and then secure the cap? While its doing that Ill be looking to see if there are any other leaks.

Replaced the brass T and bled the system today. That fixed it. After looking inside the cowling, you could see where that T was dumping oil. Apparently the check valve was stuck in the position where is let air in, which caused the low level in the engine mounted tank. Appreciate the assist JOE54. Unfortunately while running it on the muffs, found another issue, which I'll post in a separate post.
