Two 2 Bank Chargers vs One 4 Bank Charger

I'm adding a dedicated Lithium Battery for electronics this year and need to switch out my current charging setup. Is there a preference to running two 2 bank chargers over one 4 bank?

I had one- one bank, and one- two bank chargers with my three lead acid batteries. When I switched to four lithium batteries, I went to one- four bank charger. I like the four bank better due to only fooling with one cord instead of two. Not a big deal either way though.

Have two 2 bank chargers now, did not go 4 bank charger as:

    1. two 2 bank chargers were the same price as one 4 bank charger
    2. weight was the same across 2 chargers vs 1 single charger
    3. if a single bank goes out on a 4 bank charger, the entire thing has to be replaced for repair leaving you with nothing

When I replace the batteries, ill go one 2 bank and one 3 bank for the four battery system I have now from four to five batteries

I planned ahead as my batteries are in different locations, my trolling batteries are in the middle of the boat x2, and my starting/electronics batteries x2 are in the back wires have already been run.

When I go 3 batteries for 36v in the middle of the boat and a port goes out in the 3 bank charger, the charging wires are all in one simple location. This also applies if a port goes out on the 2nd charger, again, all batteries in the back are next to each other.

Even if I had all 4-5 batteries in one location next to each other, i would run two different chargers. Having a single port go out on all in one charger kinda leaves you dead in the water until repairs or constantly swapping connections.

It is kinda an your eggs in one basket type of deal and tinkering or fixing the boat is not my thing.

Had two chargers in old Lund boat..........didn't care for it while traveling as always a pain with cords/plugs. Keep an eye on the amperage with dual or three chargers.........popped a few breakers over the years with that boat.
