    Lithium Batteries

I have a question how often do you guys charge lithium batteries I have read you can run your trolling motor a couple of days but how often should you recharge.I have always used agm or lead acid batteries and when I come in or get home from fishing I plug my batteries in to charge do you do the same for lithium batteries?

No need to charge them right away like lead acid or AGM’s. If you get some with Bluetooth you can monitor how much charge you have left and know if you need to charge them or not before heading out

I can go three days without charging

I pull up the Ionic app and as long as I have enough for another day I leave it alone If its close I'll charge it

I'll give it a full charge the day before a weekend of tournaments

I just got 3 60 amp and a105 amp from impulse lithium and had that same question so I called them and Darlene said that since the batteries have the bms that I could just plug them in when I get home and leave them and not worry about it, that way they are ready to go when you are.

When I was running lead acids I would plug them in religiously after each use. Running lithiums a couple of years now I just plug them in the night before my next outing.
    2 100ah lithiums running 24v I can easily get 3 days.

no issue with just plugging them in when you get home and leaving them on the charger however what you dont wanna do is drain them down to say 80 percent everytime out and charge them back to 100 its good to take them down every once in awhile to 20 or 30 percent then bring them up to 100. Keeps the cells happy. So every once in awhile ( maybe once a month or every other month) take them down to 20% or 30% then bring them back to a full charge
