I have a mega line running through the ethernet switch along with Helix 12 Gend 4 and Mega 360 connected throught splitter cable. I am constanly having issues with Mega 360 freezing and Helix 12 freezing up now since I installed Mega live. Also have a Helix 12 at console that freezes but not as often.
I have all the current updates to helix and mega live. Really getting frustrated with this and not sure what is causing the issue other than the Mega Live.

When you say you have all the current software, what specific versions are you running on the Helix, Mega Live, and Mega 360?

A couple of things to check come to mind. You didn't tell what other transducer is Y cabled into the Helix 12, other than the M360. Whatever it is, be sure the correct transducer combination is selected under the Sonar tab of the Main menu that matches your transducer combination. . Also make sure the Cable collector is firmly and completely seated into the back of Helix 12. Sometimes it can be slightly off and cause problems. Of course, verify sufficient power supply voltage is getting to the units. That's about all I have to suggest at this point.

I had some rare freezing issues at my bow (mega 360, Helix 12, Helix 15). Stock wiring on my boat was 10 AWG, since I ran 6 AWG I have not had any issues. My Helix 12 also was replaced under warranty, so there could have been some issues there, but I think a lot of freezing issues are due to smaller wires.
I currenty have a splitter cable for the mega 360 and external SI transducer connected to my Helix.
I have dedicated wire run for all untits.
Mega 360 and Mega Live are connect through 10 guage wire to a dedicated 50 amp lithium battery.
Both helixs are ran off indivual 10 guage wire to each and connected to the starting battery.
Will be adding another unit at the bow to run mega 360 and live on

Check your mega live for hairline cracks in the housing I was having the same issues. Humminbird has a known problem here . Replaced under warranty
