When does a Helix 12 wear out?

I have an opportunity to buy a friends 12 Gen 2 with SI for a very reasonable price I need a good SI on the console.
I know it’s mega but not mega plus. That is good with me as I can tune a mega to give me a clear enough image. The draw back it has over 900 hours? It works great last time I fished with him. Would you pass because of the hours?

If a fishing guide works 25 days a month and 8 hours a day, that is 200 hours. Certainly a unit will last more than 5 months or 1000 hours.

I don't put much stock in the number of hours on a unit. In reality, the more an electronic device is used, the more likely it is that any weak components have already been weeded out. I tend to rely more on the kind of "beating" the unit has taken. Units in the front of a "bat out of he_ _" bass boat can take some pretty extreme beatings and have a higher risk of component failures.

I've got a first gen helix 10 that will be at 2000 hours this summer. doesn't seem to be wearing out to me.
