    Wacky Worm Rig

I just want to know how many guys use the o-rings on the wacky worm rigs. I have never used it so I just wondering if its worth buying and using.

I like using the o-ring. Some of the wacky worms are pretty soft and will come off after a few cast.

Ive seen guys wrap the wrom with electrical tape (in the middle of the worm of course) and hook it through the worm as well as the tape. I might try this a few times and see if I can get my worms to last longer. wait..that doesn't sound right....oh, nevermind.

Tried the o ring, but I seemed to lose just as many. I slide a 1/4" piece of drinking straw over the worm and hook through that.

I use them when I can find them. I beleive I save $10-$15 per package by using the orings. Sometimes they come off anyway or tear in weeds, but it definitly helps the life and doesn't affect the presentation (that I have noticed)

I don't care for the O-Ring. I like a Zappu wacky jig head.

    Re: Wacky Worm Rig (mrick)

Best tip yet...use a real small zip tie. Zip it around the center of the bait very snug, then cut off the tag end. Run your hook under the tie.

I used to use O-rings but had problems with them stretching and the bait flying off. None of those issues with the small zip tie.
