My family is planning a trip to the Dells this summer for R&R. I am thinking about pulling the bass boat up and fishing the river and Lake Delton. How is the bass fishing in that area? Is Delton any good?
On another subject, where do you guys stay when you go to the Dells? Were thinking Baker's and Cedar Lodge since they are on the water. Need your help! Need to make reservations asap. Thanks

Delton sucks, the river is some of the best smallie fishing in the state.
Be careful up there as there are places down river and by the damn that are treacherous.
Also the pool above the damn can be great largemouth fishing on frogs in the summer. Great smallies during the spring and late fall.

Lake Delton water is brand new. Nothing worth fishing for yet. I threw a few lures last summer and it finally hit me that this water is sterile.

Mason,jordon,mirror lake,upper dells, lower dells, Are the best bass lakes and rivers in the area, the smallies on the river, will rip the rod out of your hands< had lots of 19-21 inchers last year. I have lived Here in the Dells for 30 years.
If you are willing to drive about 40 minutes North, I would be happy to take you out on some the lakes in Adams county.
