    Eyra 4 stroke Set up

Apologies, but searching on this site is sorta wanky. I been wading through posts looking for someone with an Eyra 250xs four stroke that’s dialed in. Main question is: What’s your prop to pad? I’ve got a 21 model, dual poles, 4 AGMs and a fury 24 3 blade and load medium to light by most’s standards. Feel like should be a fairly common boat but not found much on it. Not new to BCB (my 3rd) but my first Eyra, and feel like I’m off a tad (76 gps at 6000rpm). The fury is new- never worked.

Do you have a hydro plate by chance? It’s difficult to set up an eyra without one. Imo because you can set up for hood hole shot or hood top end.
I personally have ran a 24 and 25 fury. The 25 run very well in cooler months. The 24 for warmer months. 25 is around 80, 24 is around 77 from what I’ve seen. Not all fury’s are the same unfortunately. Some are definitely better than others.
several people like the bravo on that boat but you do lose speed with that prop.

Its got a manual plate. I may put a hydraulic on it later, but for now I'm ok setting up for top end as I load pretty light, and mostly fish by myself.

Not sure if u have Facebook but basscat boat owners group is a great place to post questions too. I have a 23 basscat Eyra but I don’t know my prop to pad height as I have a hydraulic jack plate. I am running a fury 3 blade 25p. I’m hitting 5900-6k pushing right at 79-80 lately. I get the same speed almost when I have 2 people. Best I have done with 2 people is 79 but usually more like 76

I had the same boat, rigged the exact same way (poles, half fuel, 24 fury 3, garmin tm, 4 -31agms.), plus a hydraulic plate. I cant comment on prop to pad but it doesnt sound like your that far off. Mine would run 76-77 with the plate nearly all the way down, and I would only bump it up a tad to get a few more mph. I never had the boat over 79. A better driver probably could have. How does it break over on hole shot? Is the boat unruley any up top? Or have you gotten use to driving it (it was a big change over my 17 pump ftd for me) I really had to work for that last few 200 rpm to get that speed.

I'm currently running a 25 Fury on my 23 Eyra. With poles, in between 1/2-3/4 fuel, Ultrex tm, 3 - 100 Lithium Pro and 1 - 31 agm, two people mine rig will run 80. I'm not sure on the prop shaft height but I do have a hydraulic plate. I'm not a fan of the Fury myself and I'm looking for a better option. I feel my rig has more potential but the Fury with its smaller diameter is holding it back. We will see.

Good to know- sounds like I may need to run plate down some more. At breakover it slightly blows out (not bad though) and drives pretty reasonably- nothing crazy as far as walking. I came out of a Puma FTD/SHO, and then a Lynx prior. The Eyra reminds me of the Puma as far as in the driver's seat.

I think it has a little more but I've been told it doesn't. I just need to find the prop I'm looking for and we will see.

Solas propeller and it seems that your looking for something a little different. That prop might give you some variation.

No, I haven't. I might pick up a Power Tech VMX this weekend to try. I am looking for a TXP as I think that will be the prop.

If your after top end, send your current prop off for work. Get your max rpms and all other characteristics inline. I would call Ronnie Gilbert on that one. He could probably squeak you out a few more mph.

As for bcb recommending a Solas scorpion...? I've never seen that one before... Have yall tested that prop? I was under the impression its just a cheap prop company.

I personally don't think the Fury is the prop to get max performance out of an Eyra. I think its a great starting point or stock prop for the majority of Erya owners. I might get proved wrong, but I have my doubts based off of what I have seen so far in how the Fury reacts to MY boat so far.
