Making me Crazy...

The owner of Bowditch Ford lives a few houses down from me. He routinely drives home new vehicles if for anything to torment people like me!

Anyway, he has a brand new F150 Platinum in a new brown color that I believe to be the best looking truck Ive ever seen. To top it off, last week I got a form letter from Bowditch Ford saying they were in desperate need of Chevrolet Avalanches as trade-in trucks and that they were offering well over blue book values...well BS aside, that new brown F150 is sharp.

I ran F150's until those new Triton engines let me down. I understand theyve gone back to the 5.0

I've got to stay strong!!!!!!!!!!

You only live once Rob. Tell them to get you one of them brown one's and deliver it to the house. You can do the paperwork from your recliner right at home.

LOL Greg...I know. I have 120k flawless miles on the Avalanche, how can I ignore that? Maybe I'll have the Avalanche painted!

I got almost the same problem. Neighbor across the street works at a Dodge dealership and drives home a Challenger in what Dodge calls "Toxix Orange" (yes i have looked up the color on the dodge website).......

funny you should mention that Rob, I was out running errands this morning so I swung by the Ford place near the house, all I can say is WTF--- $45,000 for a damn pickup truck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it's not even the "top of the line" truck.

I guess I'll just drive the 'ole Chevy till I can't fix it anymore

Wow, Rob, I got that same form letter, but it said Silverados were in short supply, even hinted to the specific year I have, which is 08.

I also noticed it was from Bowditch ford, but was mailed from Louisville, KY.
Hmmmmmmm...how does that work ??

Maybe they are in short supply cuz no one wants to pay the crazy price for a new one !!!

Rob, the 5.0 in the new trucks isn't the same as the 5.0 from years back. The new trucks are definately nice but IMO not worth the money they are asking for them. As far as the Ford verses Chevy thing, it's all pesonal preference. I will say this though, my Chevy friends by new trucks every couple of years. My personal truck is a 93 F150 with 305k on the clock and I have not had a truck payment since 96.

+1. It's amazing the difference in technology between my series of F150 & the F150s of today. I'm lucky to get 16 w/ my stripped down XL w/ no power & the new ones are getting 20 or better & have great power.
