Ranger Boat cover?

OK I want to order Fred a Ranger Boat cover for fathers day with out him knowing it.
So what do I need to know about the boat and do I order it directly from Ranger? Or go thru a dealer??

Call Aurora Canvas. They are a board sponser and make really good quality custom covers. You will need the year, make, and model boat. Here is a link to their web site. http://www.auroracanvas.com/

Thanks for the info. He mentioned that he did want a "Ranger Cover" for it though.

I guess I will need to go thru a Ranger dealer somewhere. I didn't see anything on the official Ranger Website showing you could order straight from them.

Melissa, in order to get an authentic Ranger cover like Fred wants, you'll need to go through a dealer or Ranger direct. We can help you get one ordered through Angler's Choice. The easiest thing to do would be call Jay in our parts department tomorrow, and give him the year, model number, and engine that is on the boat. The hull identification number would help even more.

The number is 276-632-5600, and again, ask for Jay. Should you need any additional help, just let me know. The only think I'm not sure of is the lead time on getting a cover out of the shop....I'm not sure they can get a cover out for an out of production boat in three weeks. Keep me posted, we'll do all we can.

Well it doesn't look like I will be getting a true Ranger cover?? They are TOO expensive for me! $900 We haven't had a good enough year to accomodate a $900 cover. Oh well.

He said he could get me an after market/or something like that but would email me the prices. He is checking with Ranger to find out the price of a cover for this specific boat but I'm sure it will be way out of my league. I was expecting maybe he would say $400 - $500 at the most.

But I guess if they think enough of those boats to want $65,000 for a new one I should expect a steep price for cover.

Thanks for the offer but Fred's boat is a 392XT Dual Console. I don't think it would fit? Not that I know anything about boats??
He bought it from a guy in Raleigh (One owner boat). It was kept in a heated/cooled garage and is in mint condition. So Fred wanted a good cover for it.

Guess I will check Aurora.

I purchased the cover for my boat through http://www.empirecovers.com. Check them out, they have covers for many different types and sizes of boats, so they most likely have something to fit your Ranger.

Their website is straightforward and will help you select which kind you need, but since you said you don't know too much about boats, I would suggest calling their customer service line- they will help you select the right cover for your needs. That's what I did- it was very simple and easy.
