Has anybody launched recently at the wildlife ramp on rt 17 by the bridge going over the chowan river? I haven't been down there in a few years and I'm wondering if it's still open or if they closed it when they built the new bridge.

Ditto what Mike said...drove by yesterday. It's open and looks like it's in very good shape. Appeared like some recent work has been done....
That entire ramp, dock, and parking lot were completely redone before last spring. The ramps are in great shape, the parking lot will hold probably 50 trucks and trailers, and they have a men's and women's restroom. By far the nicest ramp I've been to in NC.
I've used the new ramp several times and it is really nice unless the winds blowing on it.
