[Rough Stuff Rider]

So 'im leaving around 3 am tonite for central Ohio from Lake Anna area to buy a new to me Champion 203. After I buy the boat around noon, I'll come right back home with it. It's 493 miles away and Im nervous as can be. Gonna spend my day making last minute preparations such as changin the wiper blades on my new to me truck, changing the oil, rain x the windshield, routing my trip on my gps and mapqwest just i case my magellan makes a mistake which it does from time to time.

Had a forum member in Ohio go and look at the boat for me and he said it was in excellent condition. I'm a picky person when it comes to cosmetic issues on a boat or car, so Im praying this one meets my expectations. Also praying for a safe trip and transaction without a hitch. So wish me luck and pray for my safe trip. Will probably be raining the whole way up and back, gotta check the weather. I'll report back on my return, hopefully with good news. Everyone have a safe weekend and leave some fish for me please.

Good luck. I hope you are satisfied with what you see when you get there. I did something like this on a truck a couple years ago. Drove from Currituck to Philadelphia to get it just looked at pics on the internet. I know what you mean about nervous.

I just did the same thing with my new to me Triton. I was very concerned because I had only seen pictures. I picked mine up at Smith Mountatin Lake. Not quite as far as you have to go. I cheked it over very well. This guy had trailered it for maybe 200 miles in three years. I didnt think anything of it. After I took the boat I stayed at the lake for 2 days to fish. Upon closer inspection the sidewalls of the tires were all cracked from non use. I wound up replacing the tires befor the 200 mile drive home. Other than that a a few small issues Ive already fixed, I am a happy camper.

thanks guys. im going to bed now, its almost 7pm. I have 3 alarms set for 12:30 am so i can be on the road by 1:30 am. Hope to get home by 11 pm tommorow if im lucky. Got the new truck insured, got the soon to be new boat insured and the truck is gased up with new windshield wipers incase it rains cats and dogs. just wish i had time to change the oil but it will have to wait till tuesday.
