    Would a 250 cowling fit a '08 300XS?

    Fit: Probably.

    Recommended: No. They are indeed different part numbers.

    And the airflow may be different. The exhaust is different. And it doesn't take much on a DFI to blow. If you want a sleeper, just change decals.

    Any way to make the engine think it is running cooler?? It will then richen itself to compansate!

    Yes, it's possible to do this... but it will likely cause thermostat faults (as the PCM will think the thermostats are sticking open)... and of course, tampering with an EPA emissions rated engine can be very costly if you're caught...

    Everything was easier on the old motors!! Including blowing them up I love the Guardian system!! Best thing Mother Merc came out with to keep a motor running
