Saw it first hand

Freakin topwater in freezin weather on Anna. Me, Mike C., Rob Uzzle, and Tyler and Meredith met up with Mike Allen. Mike A caught 8 on topwater I caught one, Rob Uzzle caught at least that I saw. Mike and I lost count after 15 on c-riggin. Toward the end of the day we pulled up on a point and had 3 doubles. I told Mike it would make my day to catch one on top after 3 doubles, threw my plug out there blam fish on, the plug was bigger than the fish LOL I didn't care at that point. Finished up back by the ramp we caught 3 as the sun was setting. Had a great time fish weren't giants 2-1/2lbs to dinks but fun nonetheless.

Glad too hear you did well. I fished with mike on sat. and caught alot of fish but no bigguns. The top water bite was insane to watch, could not believe it I thought you would have a better day with the warmer weather

Weather was a little warmer in the afternoon, I was lookin to get some line stretched, hadn't been out since November so I didn't care about size , just fun being out on the water catchin fish

Oh man...you guys are always bragging about fishing the hot side of Anna in the winter....where's the challenge in that??? Its almost like cheating. Might as well go fish in Bill Dance's pond.....

Mike, thanks again for the invite! Tyler, thanks for the guided tour! What a unique experience, caught 3 on top in January and one of them crushed it right in front of Mike and Levi. Had a blast and I can't wait to do it again!

To correct that statement the water temps were 34 degreess not 38 on the pamunkey lol had the best day of my life for not even getting a bite lol had to get a line in the water was having withdraws come on spring
