    Lost a nice one yesterday

Man my 2nd Tournament ever yesterday and I lost a nice one
We were fishing the james river and were having a pretty tough day, we went down a rock wall and My boater told me to cast into this hole on the wall, so I did let it sink.....started to lift the rod then it felt heavy I said FISH once we got a look at it he was like that's a big fish.
I play it for a little bit and right when I lift it up so he can get the net under her, she came up shook her head and threw the hook :embarrassed:
My partner said he thought it was a 6-7lb fish
That bummed me out for a while, We probably would have gotten First place and Diffidently big fish

Yelp thats how it goes sometimes you can do everything just right and the nice one gets off. Then sometimes you cant do nothing wrong to lose a fish.

Cary was plenty quick to pull the net out, he just didn't use his mental telepathy to to see the hook coming out when I tried to pull her up to the net.

Eddie did a great job at hooking and getting the fish to the boat, but that fish just wasn't ready to quit yet. They don't get big by getting caught easily... It was the biggest fish that I have seen on the James River, but it will be there again for us.
