I would recommend you buy a BRP kit.

When can I expect a stocking BRP dealer in Bham?

You can ask BRP customer service, 847-689-7090.

If you need BRP parts give Reeda a call @ 615-847-4909 Monday through Friday 9 to 5.

Is that the requisite "hot parts chick"?

I can order them in town, its just a pain, I have to get head gaskets too, I found a set of the "hot heads", but have been holding off on putting them on since super unleaded is edging up towards 2.50 a gallon.

I have to get a voltage reg too.

    Boats are money pits.

XP/GT 2.6 or 80 Model 235 heads, take your pick, thats what I got.

I may sell them though, and buy a 200 Merc, since you guys won't do hop up.

Re: Water pump kits at NAPA? (THE WITCHDOCTOR)

Does that mean you like the heads?

And by the way, I am all about doing some small things to improve performance without sacrificing reliability to much. Don't want an all out racing engine, if I did, it would be a Merc, and I could go buy one.

Just want to make what I have run good enough to make people go, man thats a good running 150. HAHA

The thing about "hop ups" is when you do one thing, you in turn have to do another to compensate. I know what your looking for, the same thing almost everyone is.Most of the time, the people I see do engine mods aren't satisfied with a little... because of the gain that is made. se more gains day to day on correct setup than anything. When you get prop slip below 2 percent and are turning the motor where it needs to be, then you need more power, which doesn't come cheap. I have seen 3000 bucks in mods to get 2 mph.... after a certain point, it get more expensive to get less.... and when you get to messin with compression on a low compression motor, it screws the harmonics up and then things get real fun... especially to cranks...... I have personally been there... done that... and with the right money... it is nice.... but little gains most of the time equal bigger headaches... JUST MY OPINION....

Well Said Doc ! That's why Homies don't play dat here. Keeps it simple and if you want to play dat's what Scream n fly is for! Just ask NeverEdge ! That dude had a sweet motor built by probably one of the best cross flow dudes around and it was sweet! But a little drop in octane and syanora x-flow ! You make the mods and your looking at a tear down every 100 hrs min if it don't pop first. Yep we know how to hop them up but why? Reliability goes down and your are spending outrageous $$$ to make the motor run 3-6 MPH faster. Economics don't work out for me. CM

Re: Water pump kits at NAPA? (ChampioNman)

I am going to repaint the cowl, without stickers. Then when anyone askes, I will just say its a 150.

What would be really funny is to get a 235 block, and then rebuild it and stick it in there, and watch the reactions.

I have a source on that too.

Oh and I am working on the hull, and trying to get some set-up help. I have a prop slip issue, especially with 4 blades, the slip like heck trying to get me over on plane. HAHA

I got one tore up merc 4 blade I am trying to get Mark to identify, and then I may fix it, since it runs better on top then anything I have run .Problem is, it belongs to my brother in law, and if I have to pay him plus pay Mark, I may come out cheaper buying my own. But I have to figure out what it is first.

Don't get me wrong, I like my set-up, but it only goes about 57 to 58, and I would like to see it run mid 60's in the summer. I figure keeping my goals realistic about what I expect is the best way to be satisfied with what I have.

Man ya'll stick all the posts in there when I am typing.

You are making that 200 EFI Merc look alot better.

I did check on scream and fly, and the recommendation was getting the heads I got, and then reeds. I was told my motor won't rev beyond about 6k since the porting is restrictive beyond that, and I am ok with that.

The higher compression will help with punch down low, which I need. And I am not milling them either, they are stock chamber. So I am going to work within my rev limit, which shouldn't cause to many issue's.
