Chowan River Bass Challenge Results from today are in !!

Well we had 14 boats and 5 weighed in. Others caught a couple but didn't weigh based on what had already been weighed.

Winning weight was 7.86 lbs with 4 fish. Congrats go out to Keith & KJ Vick !!

Second place weight was 7.46 lbs with 3 fish. Congrats to Brad Duckworth and Dan Vaden. They also had big fish weighing in at about 3 lbs.


I went back and checked last years results for same weekend and we only had 7 boats with 4 weighing in. Winning 1st place weight was only 3.17 lbs
Big fish was only 1.77

So thanks to all that came. Nice to see each of you. Hope to see you around alot this year !!

Also forgot to mention that we gave 2 Gift Certificates for the 2 boys that were here as "Participation in Tournament".

Think they appreciated them! Maybe keep them interested in fishing.

Thanks for the compliments. Kind of hard yesterday to get our act together. Fred said he was kind of "Out of Kilter??" IF you know what that means?? Out of sorts I guess.

Next time we promise to be better. Its just hard for us to keep the store open and me be able to take good pictures/ get the certificates filled out after weigh in with results. I screwed up to certificates from Rushing !!! The only thing I know we could do is just lock both doors until after all weighing in is done and certificates handed out/prize money.

Not sure what the answer is but we need a better system in that respect.

BUT ALL in ALL we loved having Each and everyone of you!! Hope the good turn out is a good sign of this years season..

Hope all saw the "New Look" of inside the store. We have done alot of rearranging and have gotten in alot of NEW Merchandise and still getting in more. So hopefully ya'll will come by and get some of our tackle and help support our store !!

The new stock looks good guys. I was very happy with Saturday. Good to see old faces and the new. Wasn't a skunk for me this time so I was extremely happy with that.
