Does this mean you're gonna put away the Carolina rig with the Case grub on the end of it?

Notice I didn't mention the color of the grub!!!

I know what you mean Mike . Seriously, i know a guy that put a hurt on some people this year throwing a C-rig with a Mann's 1 minus. Who would have thunk it?

Re: Richmond Fishing Expo (Blue Steel)

Got a problem with it Mike? I was ask to do something, I didn't pick the topic, I wanted to do something on Big Swimbaits and was ask to that. You have to remember that the seminars at boat shows are also directed more toward novice anglers then guys that spend 100 plus days on the water. Never claimed or will claim to be an expert, but I was ask to do it so I said I would, and you can always learn something from everyone you come in contact with, if you have an open mind.

Re: Richmond Fishing Expo (Blue Steel)

Just got back from the show, had a good time. Ran into Rob and Miss Jeri, Greg Vick, Jan and Marty from Wee Vee Guards, and my neighbor the VA DNR guy. Met James Plessinger (NitroBoy3) over at Greentop, in fact he talked me into a couple of Falcon Boucco rods.

Their weren't too many boat lines represented. Bass Cat had a bunch of boats, some nice Rangers, some Tritons (if you're into that kinda thing), only one Nitro that I saw, and then the cream of the crop..... All I can say is, Mike, if you give them heads up they might be able to drag that Gambler "Sterling" around and hook it straight up to your Ford!!! WOW, what a nice rig!

Also looked at some very nice new handpours. Some incredible talent out there.

Yes, I went today. Only 2 buildings partially filled up. Pop's Marine and several other usuals were not there, Bobcats was not there. I was very dissapointed. Oh well, did'nt spend any money, guess that's a good thing. The Sterling was nice, had more bling than a Cartier's diamond shop.

Went to the Raleigh show last weekend and it was a disappointment as well. Not alot of vendors for the hype they make it out to be. I would venture to say if this year is like the past your best deals will be at Green Top have fun you all.

Re: Richmond Fishing Expo (Blue Steel)

Mike, i did go and wished I would have went fishing in the warm weather. Me and some guys from our club went. Only two buildings and mostly boats. I did win a $25 raffle from Carolina Sportsmens. They had the best deal on Gamakatsu hooks, pk of 5 for $2.00 unweighted and weighted for $3.00 for pk of 5. There was not that many vendors and not really impressed w/ the fishing seminar/fish tank. I'm not a pro by no means but I felt the presentation/fishing seminar was more of a comedy act than giving tips or valueable information. I met some nice people and everyone will have to go and form their own opinion.

I found better buys at Green Top...

I did buy a raffle ticket for the state federation boat. Now my luck would be getting a phone call sunday night telling me.....

    Mike are you going??
