Smith Mountain Lake help

Heading down to fish SML in October. Anyone have any info they are willing to share? Colors, water clarity, seasonal patterns for that time of year? Any info would be appreciated..

Sorry can't help with any info about the lake as I will be there on the 24th of Oct. myself. A word of caution. If by chance you are there on te 24th be very careful. There will be an over abundance of RATS on the lake. Yea you heard me correct RATS. They are very evil creatures from what I am told. I have never seen any they just seem to stay hidin in the river systems on the East side of the state and eastern North Carolina.

Skeeter 202 and I are working round the clock on our new patent pend. oversize Rat traps built special for these pesky River Rats that find their way to our lakes. We are hoping to have them ready for prototype testing by the 24th and I think we will have some success locating these critters. We could sure use your help that day as we may be out numbered by them.

see here is the deal,rats are timid creatures , if they hear or see you they are gone , you have to slip up easy and set the trap and patienly wait for the SNAP!!!<U></U> you need to know how many you have before you can decide the best attack

Well until we know the exact number in the colony we will just have to keep building more traps until they are all gone.....
