Not a big fan or lover of the river. All that grass scares me. Plus with only a small electric jonboat I am at the mercy of folks with real boats.
I think you could catch them from the bank at that park.

That might be true also. Did you put in a Hope Springs? I work at Quantico and my office is the big glass building right on Chopawamsic Creek. I can look out and see a few boats in there now.
We put in inside Aquia past the train tracks. They say it is a parking lot on those flats at the weekend. Not exactly a secret and a great place for anyone to take kids or the wife for a no pressure day.

the creek runs all the way back in also inside the tarcks as well for a good ways. lots of lay downs and little tarffic. what traffic there is is only idle speed traffic.
