    For those headed to Gaston...

There's a lot of floating and semi submerged debris out there. be careful!

water temps today were low to mid 40's with 46 being the highest I saw...

Strongest current (from water pulling) that Ive ever experienced on Gaston! I felt like I was fishing the outgoing tide on the Potomac all day long!

I saw you today at gaston in popular. You pulled up to the rip rap bridge. I was by the docks in the big blue nitro. I put in at stone house and water was 48, Were I saw you water was 52 by the docks and by 5 water was 53 in stone house. I started at 7, but fog didn't lift till 11 and stayed till 6. Only caught 1 keeper all day. Dirtyest water I've seen at gaston ever. Debris everywhere. Did you or any one else that fished there have any luck? If so, what did it take to catch some fish. Mine came on a texas rigged worm.

That should make going through the tunnels interesting this weekend.

For those fishing region 7 at Gaston....from presidents meeting last night...... they decided to make all of the entrance (Americamps cove) "buoy marker to bouy marker" off limits heading in front of the campground beach/boat ramp area, also because there are two or three other big tournaments Sat. there will be no half hour delay after the volunteers leave. As soon as the last volunteer boat blast's off they will call for boat #1 with no delay in between and no delay between 1'st & 2'nd flight blastoff.

Basically the whole no wake zone, from the entrance to Americamps (Holly Grove Creek) to the no wake zone before the bridge/tunnel

So when Craig Owens leaves early, someone in a Stroker or an Allison can beat him to Hawtree!
