I put the boat in the water at 1:30 at OCC2. Water temp at the ramp was 48. I fished the cove with spinnerbaits and shad raps no hits. Water clarity about two feet. Headed down the lake and began fishing pockets off the main lake. Water temp in the pockets began at 48-50 and warmed up to 55 in some of the deep pockets. I began with the same lure combination of spinnerbaits and shad raps, no luck, no hits, nothing. So I switched to a zoom 6" watermelon seed lizard and it was on. I put 15 in the boat, lost three at the boat lifting them in and 2 or 3 in the timber. Don't worry we would not need to replace any scales at any weigh-in but it was alot of fun. I had two at 17" a couple in the 15-16 range a couple 14" but the rest were dinks.
