    Dead start battery ?

    150 four stroke <2B467082> will a dead start battery cause this engine to go into guardian mode?

    Yes. Low battery voltage results in a fault, and depending on the severity, Guardian can limit your available power anywhere from a few percent, all the way down to FORCED IDLE.

    Thanks Don. Problem solved with a new altenator. Covered by Extended service plan or whatever its called purchased from European marine.
