    Problem after fuel filter change out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Motor was runnng fine until i changed out the fuel filter on a 2006 225 E TEC. It turns over fine but will not fire but every once in a while then it shuts off after a couple of seconds.Any help will be appreciated

    I'd take the output side fuel line off and see if fuel is getting through the filter.

    Can you pump the ball till it is hard? If so you are getting fuel. If not you have a problemry pumping the ball while running.

    You may have to fill the filter with fuel before you screw it on. The empty filter is a big air pocket.

    I put the fuel out of the old filter in the new one before i put the new one back on and the bulb will get hard when pumped.

    Prime the bulb to make sure it is full of fuel then intstall the output hose. Give it few more pumps on the primer and turn the key to on. Wait for the pumps to shut off and then try it. A few more pumps and a few more key on's should pressurize the system.
