1998 Evinrude Intruder.
For the past month or so I have been having problems with my No Oil Light and buzzer going off. Some times all day. I have also noticed that my Tach seems to be a little erratic at times but tapping it with my hand makes it go back to normal RPM. The highest voltage reading is 14.7v and sometimes it will spike this high at 1000 rpms but will never go higher even at full throttle.
Could these problems be related to the voltage regulator? Because nothing looks burned or loose...And batterys are connected with SS nuts. Also all the OHM reading checks turned out ok on the regulator. This one has me puzzled.....
