Got some work cut out for me......

Just got the little man one of these over the weekend. On the front of the intructions it say it will take two men 10-14 hours to assemble...... Gonna be a nice addition but I wish they had people to install these things sometimes.....

Yea just read them again and only 52 steps to assemble it. There are certain parts that say two men required....I was thinking if I can get my dad over here he aint leavin no time soon..... Think I will hold off another day or two.....

Patrick, you'll probably want to get some practice in before you tackle that job. It looks awful nice and I'm sure you don't want to mess it up. Maybe if you could get some practice doing something like, oh say...siding a barn or something, it would be good. I'll look around and see if I can a barn needing some siding for you.
-Hey, waddya know? I found one here in the yard. Come on up, bring you Dad and a couple of hammers. Practice is a good thing!

I didn't realize that my post left any uncertainty about my desire for you to come side my barn. There a 3 hammers on the shelving in the garage, 2 boxes of nails in the shed. It may be a good idea for you to bring along 25 sheets of 1/2" T-111 along with you. I'll leave it up to you what color to paint it. Thanks by the way! Greg

Hummm, looks like it's time to throw the instructions away, buy a case of beer and invite the guys over.

    Re: (vatreefarmer)

    Can be there tomorrow am.......Lets see.....4 guys for work @ 45.00 per hour....truck @ 90.00 per day 8 hour day = 450.00 plus the fuel surcharge @20%total bill.....oh forgot about me....8 x 100.00 per hour = 800.00. So...

    800.00
    450.00
    90.00
    1340.00
    268.00
    ----------

    1608.00

So for basically 1600.00 a day which is discounted you can get that siding on quickly....estimated time 2 days depending of square footage.........

Ouch Patrick, that cuts right to the bone. I'd do the same work for you at no charge. I guess thats what seperates man from beast.
If, by, chance, you choose to reconsider, you can make it up to me by paying for the T-111 as well.

All kidding aside, I'm not opposed to pitching in on the fort thing. Let me know when you're tackling this

I don't know.....only 25 sheets to put up and we can paint it any color we want......that might be worth a few of us getting together and driving up there...just to see what kind of color scheme we could come up with.....
