Looking for info about Kilby Lake in Suffolk.....i would appreciate any input.

My wife and I are looking at a house on this lake and was wondering if the fishing was any good. I have heard of Prince, Western Branch, and Mead ,but have never heard much about Kilby. Thanks for any knowledge

The lake has been closed to the public for some time now. I've heard the fishing is excellent if ya can gain axcess. A house on the lake would take care of that problem!!!

that wasnt a very favorable write up.....acidic water....that must be from the dying trees and leaves......dont like bass being listed as the last type of fish.

Don't let acidic water deter you. I've fished Airfield Lake, that has acid stained water and it holds some lunkers. Lake Kilby also has northern pike in there.

I fished Kilby for years...It's underrated...trust me...awesome fishery for bass,similiar to the Chowan!

some big fat bass lurking around in there waiting for someone to catch. my son used to catch some pigs out of there. very pretty lake.
