I had a charger issue and all batteries drained completely. I caught it just before a tournament and got the batteries charged. Got on the water and my Ghost acted the same way. Lowrance said the Ghost went into safe mode due to the low batteries. I had to reprogram the Ghost.

So are you saying even though you got them charged back up it went to safe mode. I charge thru the front plug of my rig. So i leave my ghost unplugged until i head out to fish. Are you saying by unplugging my ghost it coul cause this? No troubles yet. But your post is a little baffling. You said your batterys got a charge before usage

I also unplug my TM after each trip but the loss of one battery during the trip caused a voltage issue without me knowing it. According to Lowrance, the Ghost went into safe mode. Before my next trip I went to charge the batteries and all were completely dead. This was a charger issue. Even after fully charging, the Ghost remained in safe mode and I couldn’t get it to do anything when I got to my first fishing spot. I had no idea what was going on. I finally recalibrated everything to get it back operational. Even the foot pedal got off level. I didn’t know while out there how to recalibrate the pedal so I had a hard time fishing that tournament. To go straight my pedal was almost completely heel down. All is fine now.

When the anchor lock quits, press the battery charge indicator button and tell us what it shows for charge status.

Something is causing it to kick out of Anchor lock. The possibilities I can think of are:

    1. Loss of GPS signal. Your TMC-1 needs to be mounted in a good location.

    2. Loss of power. Check battery status button for charge condition.

    3. An object in your recessed pedal area that kicks the pedal out of anchor lock.

Those are the areas I would be checking.
