Anybody ever fished there and is it worth going. I have read the info VA DGIF and VA State Park websites but was looking for some personal scoop from folks that have been there. I was thinking of going down a camping for a weekend before it got to cold.
Fished there several years ago, probably about 7 years. Never saw a fish, not even any baitfish. nice spot for camping though, at least it was then.
VDGIF site says they have quantity vice quality fish there.
Maybe they stocked it. When I was a kid we went there and caught plenty.
Like I said it's been years since I was by there. It's a nice place. If they've gotten the LMB population back up it would be really nice.
I spend alot of time at Chandler's Mill Pond in Montross on the jonboat and was looking for something new and different that is not to far to tow the jonboat.
Dude come to Briery or Sandy River and catch some fish....ask Gunny about Briery.
