    96 Johnson water leak

I have a 96 Johnson venom J200STLEDM. It's starting to leak a little water at the top of the engine right in the center. I assume this is a gasket going bad. My question is how bad is this problem, does it mean something major and am I looking at a rebuild??

It sounds like the gasket under the voltage regulator is going bad. Remove the power packs bolts and then lift it off the stand offs. Lean it backwards so you can view the VR underneath it. Start the motor and watch for leaks, if leaking then remove the 5 bolts that hold it down and replace the gasket if needed.

Ok thanks that is where the water is coming from underneath the VR. Is that a easy gasket to change without going to the shop??
