    Any one heading to Smith Mountain for the Blue Ridge Brawl 7-10th

    Just wondering If anyone was heading up to fish or to watch weigh in this up coming weekend.

    Lake is awesome. Traffic gets kind of bad this time of year. I was thinking about going down and night fishing Saturday night and fishing through the morning and getting off the lake and napping until the weigh-in but, haven't decided yet...

    Wish we could. Mike McClelland is a good friend and we'd love to be there and root for him. However, on the 11th, Joyce has a major health test. Can't miss that.... Could use prayers for negative results for her.... Thanks!

    If he would have shown up Wednesday, you might have gotten your picture taken w/ Grant too.

    I'll be here (SML). Its funny that someone mentioned Mike McClelland because I plan to follow him on the first 2 days. I figure he'll stay down the lake and I hope he finds some new offshore stuff for me to look at in the near furture. He's good in deep water situations and hopefully wont have too many spec boats on him. The lake will be rockin' and rollin' on the weekend for sure.....that may make it difficult to fish the deep water stuff.

    And to those wanting to come fish SML at night.....the night bite is ON big time! The shad hit the banks about 10 pm and the Thunderstick is kickin' some serious bass right now.
