    Line for Rod/Reel setups...

Looking for the "text book" answer on type (pound test) of line to use for the following:

    - T-Rig/Plastics/Jig (bait cast reel w/ 7' MH F rod)

    - Cranks (bait cast reel w/ 7' MH M crank rod)

    - Spinnerbait/Chatterbait (bait cast reel w/ 6'6" MH F rod)

    - Topwater (stick baits, poppers, etc) (bait cast reel w/ 6'6" M F rod)

    - Jerkbait ( bait cast reel w/ 6'6" M F rod)

Still trying to figure out what pound test goes with each when using bc reels as before I put 10 to 12 pound mono on all my spinning gear. Not trying to be lazy and not answer for myself, but you all are the duty experts compared to me. Thought I would ask so I did not spend a small fortune on line trying to figure it out since I already did that with new bc rods and reels.

Again looking for "text book" answers...

    1) 14-17 good for all around use just a T-Rig i'd say 12-14

    2) Lake cranking 10-12 the rivers and areas i crank i use 12 in open water and 15 in the thick stuff

    3) I use 17-20 on spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and will if i throw a chatterbait

    4) Topwaters depend on the bait i go with as heavy as i can for the high $ poppers and such, 15-20 on them and others i stay in the 12-15 range and use 10 some for torpedos and such

    5) Jerkbaits i always use 10-12 no matter where i am

I always use mono or copoly as well, very very rarely use Flouro but only b/ci don't have much confidence in it holding up!
