    Yes I did, I checked the card and all six files are on the card.

    Since that download is so large, it may have been corrupted during the download. Delete what you have and download it again.

    Wayne, I received an error pop up while copying the files onto the SD Card. "A device which does not exist was specified".

    The options are "Try Again" "Skip" or "Cancel"
    Which option should be taken?

    Cancel would always be my choice anytime you get an unexpected error and have the opportunity to abort. May have been an error in designating the copy to location. Can reformat the card (FAT32) and start again. Sometimes, those errors may be temporary and may need to reboot your computer.

    Well, It seems that I have a faulty port on my computer. I changed computer ports formatted the 32 SD card then copied the six base map files to the SD card without any errors. When my Helix 9 ask if I want to update the base map software from version .0000 to 1.031 I select yes, the pop up goes away and nothing happens.
    What could cause the issue of not loading the files onto the Helix?

    I would suggest patience. After the unit asks if you want to upgrade the base map, say yes, then go away. Mine never told me it was, but when I came back to boat after about 5 - 10 minutes doing something else, 1.031 was there.

    Shouldn't be that way, but my Helix 10 Mega SI G3N worked like that. It's working now. Can switch back and forth to the base map or the Navionics card. Select "Auto" to get to Navionics.

    Went ahead and made the next upgrade. 2.440 if I remember correctly. It's working too.

    Display still sucks but that's a 2.18 problem.

    I believed the issue is resolved. Apparently when the pop up comes up asking if you want to replace the software, I was selecting yes with to long of a push on the right arrow. After trying countless times I gave the selection a very quick push and the pop up asking if I wanted to abort came right up, selected no with a quick push and the software updated.
    Thank you for all of the help and input, it helps when you start getting frustrated and not thinking straight.
