With the news from Evinrude and everyone with a 4 stroke addiction I was sure there would be a ton of used Evinrude's out there for sale and I'm not seeing anything. Either dealers aren't taking them in on trades for repowers or people are just holding on to what they have. Anyone that is still a dealer or active in the market have any idea of where the used ones are located?

I'm ordering a new 2022 Z520L with a Merc 4s in a couple months.
The issues I've had with my G2 the last 6 months with only 130hrs on the motor have made up my mind to dump it.

All the TSRs I know are no longer employed by Evinrude.
No, like ChampioNman said, that's probably a thing of the past. I've got Silverstien's number, but I hate to bother him until the dealer gives it a shot first.
I normally wouldn't care how long it took (within reason) to fix, but I have a trip planned in about a month and don't want to miss it because of my sidelined G2 with a mere 130hrs on it...!

I've been trying to find a G1 150 for a friend and there isn't much out there. Even the used ones are being snapped up quickly. Covid has certainly increased demand for stuff. There are plenty of big G2s out there though.
If I had any dream of what is to come would be for Evinrude/ Johnson to be secretly designing a new 4 stroke that will blow everyone away.
if they dont take care of whats out there it wont matter if its better and half price they wont sell any. Getting rid of the specialists and stopping the training for existing shops has already hurt them. Some were done with em after the omc debacle, others after this debacle- they may not get 3 chances with people. Brp had the chance to add value to the evinrude brand and id say now the brand is worth very little compared to what it could have been had they done a few things different during the production stoppage.

They may be banking on the "Green Technology" and if all else fails they still have the Johnson brand to fall back on.
