    Digital Realty

I'm not up on tech but when a government agency or large corporation moves to the cloud do the mostly di it though Oracle, IBM, Microsoft Amazon or Google? If they do go this route does it eliminate their need to have co-location services etc? I assume Amazon, Google Microsoft and others own their own datacenter and don't have to lease space from a company like digital realty. I'm sort of trying to determine if DLR which rents datacenter will be necessary for larger corporations or government if they transition to the cloud by Microsoft, google or Amazon,

Co-Lo datacenters aren't going anywhere. AWS, Google, M$ are simply too expensive for the majority of people/companies.

I do think on prem datacenters have been slowly phasing themselves out as operating costs go up. It's makes more financial sense for companies to co-lo their equipment and not have to deal with the infrastructure upkeep. Small to medium sized datacenter rack space is starting to get squeezed.
