115 E-Tec would not shut off

Turned the key off, engine still running,the tach and the rest of the gages shut off, the warnings lites would go throught there sequence when you turned the key back to on position, pulled kill switch engine still running. I had to pull plug wires to kill engine. Whats up??

Is this a new motor hooked up to old wiring?

The 2007 E-TEC replaced a twice blown 1999 115 FICHT, installed by dealership. The boat is a 1999 Lowe 180 WZ.

Just an update for anyone that has same problem, replaced key switch nothing changed. Took it to dealer, bad E.C.U. Lucky its still under warranty.
