Ive got 2 friends with these motors on Stratos boats and they both do the same thing. They run great when its cold but on a hot summer day, after run a while, when put into gear and try to accelerate it just breaks down. They have to either start it several times and put it into gear a little harder hoping it "catches", which takes several attempts, or play with the choke and it is OK. Been to a few mechanics and they cant find a problem.I thought some kind of venting problem. Has anyone else had these issues and how did you repair? Thanks for any advise!

Have you tried the search feature? This has been discussed ad nauseum here. Also check out the 60* timing roller post stickied to the top of the forum.

Like the Champ says this problem has been addressed many times and can be repaired.

Your search should lead you to :

Check the timng adv at the top of the forum
Open the idle jets half a turn
Make sure you are decarbing the engine on a timely basis

One of these should get you going.
