Anyone Built on a MB864XF-MHX from Mudhole?

Hey guys, from the description this MB864XF-MHX sounds like the perfect blank for a new from rod built I'm looking to do. I like the soft tip and still having the heavy rating. For the most part frogging lighter cover and more target oriented Not usually frogging mats, or deep in heavy cover. I can usually get away with a MH rod, this will be a dedicated from rod.

Or if you have a suggestion for a frogging blank around 7'-7'3 and has that softer tip for accurate roll casts and easy walking let me know. Thanks guys!

I don't really build many MHX blanks and I know I haven't built that one but I'd suggest a Hydra FL4 Ng or a Hydra OSMD703MH. I think they're out of most everything right now but I was told they would have normal stock sometime in Jan.

If you don't want to wait another one that is really good for what you're wanting to do is a Liberty MB733.75 it's like a MH+

I have 4 of the MB863XF. I absolutely love the blank for what I do. I call it the perfect smallmouth casting rod. I can literally throw anything on it. It's an awesome finesse swimbait rod, spinnerbait, jerkbait, topwater etc.

Never built the 4 power. The 3 has a pretty light tip, so my only fear is it may be a little light in power for a frog, but I enjoy mine so much, I think it's worth a shot, especially for sparse cover.

If you like a soft tip, I would think about getting an Elite X Series NMB873-MHX.
