When I hear or read "Breezy" I know it is going to be windy hell. Hate the word Breezy in a weather forcast. They always say Breezy and then show the trees leaning.... Teegarden Translation "It's gonna be Howlin"

Have you ever heard a weatherman mention that they fished for a hobby?

This morning it's sustained to 22 and gusts to 34. Hopefully it'll calm some after this storm passes. Looks real ominous over to the west.

BETTER BATTEN THE HATCHES BOYS, IT'S GOING TO BE A ROUGH RIDE TODAY.

If it keeps developing south of us, looks like we could catch some of it as the front passes ...

Just had a 48mph gust. I was outside and it picked up my cleaning table and blew it over a fence. Also had to pick up most of my chairs out of the yard. I wish the storms would get here, maybe the winds will calm after it..

Areas of the hill country could receive up to 7" of rain according to our local weather guessers.

When I lived up on the High Plains, 30 was just a breeze ... windy was anything sustained over 40 ... Wasn't unusual to have gusts in the 60s in the spring. One of the things I don't miss about living up there.

Stomp, we got a good rain here for about 30-45 min. Now there ain't a leaf wiggling. You just need to get that front past you.

I'm ready for it,,just had another 48mph gust. Dark blue just West of me.

Got everything locked down, closed up and put away. I'm as ready as I can be.

It did continue for a while longer after I posted that. Ended up with 1/2" of rain and no bad weather.
