Humminbird Mega 360 and Minn Kota Ultrex question.....

Hey guys,

I’m thinking about buying a Solex 15 Chirp Mega SI+ G3 CHO, a Mega 360, and a Minn Kota Ultrex Link TM for the front of my 2472 SeaArk. If I’m reading the sales literature correctly, the Mega 360 operates in two modes: Mega 360 imaging and Mega side imaging. If this is so, then would it be better to buy the MK Ultrex Link trolling motor with the built-in mega down imaging transducer?

It is a rotating Side Imaging transducer and only does 360 and Side Imaging. If you want more than that, you have to add another transducer via Y cable or share that data from another unit via Ethernet. The MEGA 360 connects to the unit's transducer port.

Since it does Side Imaging, you cannot get Side Imaging from a Side Imaging transducer so the Minnkota with MDI transducer built-in would be the best choice.
The Y cable is 14 M360 2DDI Y
