    The calf has arrived

No Stomp, not going into competition with ya
I figger if a baby duck is a duckling then a cow-ling is a baby cow or a calf... I'm sure some may follow that logic, but prolly not.

Anyways, the XR4 cowling arrived yesterday but the laziass mailman wouldn't take it out of his jeep & just left a note saying to pick it up in town today.

Even came with a starter rope (hope I never need it )
It's got work to be done on it but overall Gail scored on this one, under $170 delivered, no cracks, just dirty & scratched

I think when I get the other parts needed we'll head up there with the boats to do the swap Gerald. That'll be fun. I'm debating on the stock look or a fancy schmancy look on the cowl. Maybe some cool decals from Darryl @ Iguana.

I've got some things to take care of before that like get that water pump working and take some acid to the calcium deposits. This boat & motor sat on Lake Travis way too long.

I dropped the gear case yesterday & started fighting the pump. I got the pump housing part way up to see that the impeller looks like the dog got hold of it but the shaft has so much carbon & crap on it I need to scrub it down with seafoam & steelwool to get the housing all the way off. I'll be replacing the entire waterpump assy on this one. Nice thing is this is a 4 hole housing.

Chuck & I have a project before the pump goes in though... Got that MIG ready Chuck?
