1998 TPS CODES

i recently bought a 1998 evinrude intruder ficht 150/ he had not had any trouble out of it. i changed throttle from hot foot back to the hand throttle and did this before i ran it. it had not been on the water in 4 years but run on the hose some. anyway when i first ran it it had plenty of power but i only turned 4600 rpms it showed and so i checked for wot and then checked the tps sensor. now it is in the idle mode and i get a hard code 12 and 13. the sensor check 4600 ohms and on the pot test it went from 1800 to 6600 and 6600 to 1800 but i can not get the code to clear. i hope i have given enuff info to help.
and the previous owner said if he remembered right it would turn 5900 rpm.

Sounds as if you are going to need to do a sync and lync following the service manual instructions in order to get it to function properly.

i left my service manual at home. i guess this is covered in it. it is about a 1/2 in thick blue book. scott
